EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY

Lux Center for the Arts invites artists to submit their work for our upcoming group show titled Touché. This exhibition will explore the tactile language of texture. From the smooth to the rough, the layered to the ephemeral, this show celebrates the material qualities that invite touch—both real and imagined.

CALL FOR ART

Trans Art Fest will take place in Spring of 2026, and will feature a number of all-trans exhibitions and events at art spaces throughout New York City, including Eleventh Hour Art, Established Gallery, Neptune in June, the Textile Arts Center, the Puffin Foundation, and more. The time frame for exhibitions is April – May 2026. We welcome all trans artists in New York City and the surrounding areas to submit work to our 2026 open call. To be considered, artists must be able to drop off and pick up work in person.

VISUAL ARTS GRANT

Café Royal Cultural Foundation will award an exhibition/project grant of up to $10,000 to New York City artists creating paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photographs. Artists in all genres of visual arts are eligible to apply.

CALL FOR ART

The Folly Tree Arboretum is excited to announce the open call for the Dancing Tree Award for Unorthodox Environmental Projects. This annual award offers $2,500 to a completed project that uses an unexpected method to communicate environmental awareness.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY

The Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art, located within Rodeph Shalom is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art that illuminates the Jewish experience. The PMJA was founded in honor of the late philanthropist Jacob S. Gutman in 1975. In addition to its special-exhibit gallery, the Museum features a permanent collection of important works by accomplished artists, including William Anastasi, Chaim Gross, Tobi Kahn, Joan Snyder, Shelley Spector, Boaz Vaadia and Roman Vishniac. The PMJA is a vital and engaging part of the RS Community.

ONE DAY ART EVENT

NYC DOT Art invites all professional artists to submit proposals for artwork to be installed during Car-Free Earth Day and or Summer Streets at sites designated by NYC DOT as a one-day installation. Please carefully read the different requirements and expectations for the range of events. Car-Free Earth Day installations would be displayed on a singular date and location; however, Summer Streets installations could be on display on two to five different dates and locations, including two locations on the same date.

MURAL COMMISION

All interested artists are eligible to submit past work examples in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the opportunity to be selected to develop and install temporary murals on NYC DOT property. Artwork will remain installed for a minimum of one month and a maximum of 11 months. Projects commissioned through this RFQ will be site-specific and installed on NYC DOT property as selected by NYC DOT Art. Projects will be funded and managed by NYC DOT Art.

Filmaker Grant

New Fest’s New Voices Filmmaker Grant is an ongoing initiative in partnership with Netflix to support emerging LGBTQ+ directors with $25,000 in funding to create new work – in addition to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities!

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY

Founded in 2011, Project: ARTspace is an interdisciplinary creative project space. Our organization programs events and exhibitions where curators and artists of all levels have the chance to meet, engage and promote new collaborative projects. Project: ARTspace presents four exhibitions a year. Proposals are reviewed periodically by a curatorial committee.

FELLOWSHIP

Forge Project offers six Indigenous artists, scholars, organizers, cultural workers, researchers, or educators will each receive $25,000, full access to the Forge Project site, libraries, and a lending collection of living Indigenous artists during a residency stay of up to three weeks.

PRINTMAKING RESIDENCY

Lower East Side Printshop‘s Summer Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. The program includes a $1,000 stipend. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply.

PERFORMING ARTS GRANT

The purpose of the Performing Arts Grant Program by the Tri-M Foundation is to support the development and presentation of innovative, high-quality performing arts projects by regional non-profit arts organizations. Award range $3,000-$10,000.

CALL FOR NYC PHOTOGRAPHY

Canvas NYC Photography Award is open to all emerging photographers, including students and early-career artists. Professional experience is not required.
“Unfiltered” Is the Theme. Description: New York doesn’t pose — it lives. Every block, every face, every moment tells a story. UNFILTERED is about capturing the city’s beauty in its truest form: the laughter, the chaos, the quiet, the connection.

INTERDISCIPLINARY COMISSION

The Shed Open Call selects, fosters, and presents new work, showcasing a wide, multiborough range of voices, lived experiences, and perspectives, demonstrating the multitude of ways in which artists are working today. It embraces proposals for new works in disciplines including the visual arts, theater, dance, music, performance, spoken word, literary arts, film, fashion, art and technology, new media, social practice, and public art and architecture, as well as across multiple and new disciplines

VISUAL ARTS AWARD

The Bader + Simon Empowerment Grant awards a one-time stipend of $7,500 to US-based individuals and emerging artists without higher education and extensive exhibition experience. Bader + Simon brings recognition to the achievements of underrepresented artists by empowering communities to collaborate around art, education, and social justice issues.
